Is Elvie Stride a closed system?

Yes, Elvie Stride is a closed system. The Diaphragms create a physical barrier between the milk flow and air flow. 

For this reason, always make sure the diaphragms are dry before assembly.

Elvie Stride is designed to only be used by one person.

What automatic functions does my Elvie Stride have?

Elvie Stride has a number of automatic functions that are designed to make your life easier:

• It automatically switches from Stimulation mode to Expression mode after two minutes

• While you are expressing, it will automatically pause after 40 minutes if a button has not been pressed. We recommend that you leave the pump for 60 minutes before using it again 

• When it is paused, it will turn off if a button has not been pressed for five minutes

• It will automatically turn off if the battery is empty

• It will automatically turn off if there is a technical error

What charging adapter should I use with Elvie Stride?

Elvie Stride is best paired with a charging adapter of maximum output 5V / 2.1A or 10W.

If you already have a charging adapter at home, we recommend checking for the following:

• That the output voltage / current or power is in the range stated above

• That the charging adapter contains a country specific standards mark

• That the charging adapter is double insulated (Class 2 electrical certification)
  

Is Bluetooth safe?

Elvie Stride connects to your phone using Bluetooth. 

Bluetooth devices are extremely low powered. Bluetooth is approximately 100 times less powerful than the maximum power of a mobile phone. 

Because of this, lots of wireless healthcare and medical devices use Bluetooth.

Elvie Stride uses Bluetooth Low Energy. This offers an even lower emission than standard Bluetooth.

How do I prepare Elvie Stride for storage?

For short-term storage between sessions, you should:

• Recharge your pump immediately after finishing your session if the Battery Light is on

• Make sure all the components and washable parts are dry

• Ensure your pump is stored out of direct sunlight

• Make sure to keep your pump out of reach of children. It contains small parts, Tubes and a cable that may present a hazard

For long-term storage, you should:

• Make sure all the washable parts are cleaned and then dried

• Ensure your pump is stored out of direct sunlight

If you have stored your pump at minimum (-20°C or -4°F)  or maximum (+60°C or +140°F) storage temperature, you will need to wait for 24 hours before using it. This will allow it to reach normal operating temperature.

Does Elvie Stride have disposable bags?

No, Elvie Stride does not have disposable bags.

Milk is expressed directly into reusable Cups. It should then be poured into a suitable sealed container.

All the parts that come into contact with milk can be cleaned, sanitized and reused.
