Getting Started
How to download the Pump with Elvie app
To download the Pump with Elvie app, simply visit the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android) on your smartphone or tablet. Search ‘Pump with Elvie’ and then select ‘Get’ (iPhone) or ‘Install’ (Android). The app is completely free to download and use.
How to connect your pump to the Pump with Elvie app
If you’re connecting your Elvie Pump or Elvie Stride to the app for the first time:
Start by downloading the Pump with Elvie app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
Switch Bluetooth on in your phone settings and make sure your pump is charged.
Create an account to be able to store your pumping data(You can also use the app without registering a new account but data may be lost)
Follow the onboarding guides to learn how to assemble, clean and use the pump. You can skip these and check them later in the home screen if you're not ready to pump yet.
Tap on the ‘Connect’ button in the app and follow the prompt.
You’ll be asked to press the ‘Play / Pause’ button on the hub until the side lights flash.
When the pump is connected to the app, the side lights will stop flashing.
If you have a double pump, tap ‘Connect another pump’ to connect in the same way to your second pump.
You should only need to do this once. The next time you open the app, the pump will automatically connect if your phone’s Bluetooth is enabled and the pump is turned on and within reach.
If the pump gets disconnected during a session, it will try to reconnect automatically.

Using the App
How to use the Pump with Elvie app with your pump
Once you’ve downloaded the app, created an account, and connected your phone, start by pressing ‘Play / Pause’ on your Elvie Pump.
You can then perform the following actions using the app while you pump:
Adjust the intensity settings of your pump.
Switch between Stimulation and Expression modes.
Change the side setting of your pump.
Keep an eye on the volume of milk in the bottle.
View your pumping history.

How to track your pumping sessions in the app
The Pump with Elvie app enables you to keep track of every pumping session, including the date of each session, how long it lasted, and how much milk you pumped. To access your pumping session information in the app, simply select ‘Sessions’ in the app’s menu.
How to personalise your settings in the app
You can use the Pump with Elvie app to save your preferred intensity settings in Stimulation and Expression modes. When you do this, your pump will always start at your preferred settings. To personalise your intensity settings in the app, make sure your pump is connected and follow the instructions below.
For Android users:
Navigate to: Menu > Account > Your Pumps > Personalize.
Amend and save your intensity settings.
For iOS users:
Navigate to: Menu > Account > Personalization & Preferences > Personalize Your Pump.
Tap the cog icon, and amend and save your intensity settings.
Remember, your pump must be connected before you complete these steps.
How to change the app language
To change languages, open the Pump with Elvie app and tap the menu icon in the top-right corner. Tap ‘Account’ and select ‘Personalization and preferences’ and then ‘Language’. Select your preferred language.
The app is currently available in: Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Norwegian, Spanish, Swedish, and Chinese.
How to upgrade your product’s firmware in the app
Keeping your firmware up-to-date is important when using products such as Elvie Pump and Elvie Stride, as this will give you access to all our latest innovations and improvements. To update your firmware, you will need to have an Elvie account. Setting up an account is free and can be done from the app.
To start a firmware upgrade:
Fully charge your Elvie Pump or Stride.
Turn the product on and connect your pump to the app.
When prompted to upgrade your firmware, tap ‘Yes’.
You will get a notification to let you know how long your upgrade will take. It will usually take between 2 and 10 minutes, depending on your existing firmware.
While you are making this upgrade, both your pump and your phone will be out of action.
If you have not been prompted to upgrade your firmware, check for a red icon next to ‘Account’ in the app menu.
If you see the red icon, you have two options. The first is a background upgrade:
With the pump connected to the app, wait for up to 10 minutes.
During the 10 minute period, you will be prompted to upgrade in the app.
Your upgrade will take 2 to 10 minutes. During this time you will not be able to use your pump or your phone.
You will need to repeat this process on both pumps if you use two.
Alternatively, you can trigger an upgrade manually. To do this, tap the red icon. The upgrade will take between 2 and 10 minutes, depending on your existing firmware. You will not be able to use your phone or pump during this time.
If you have fully charged your product and do not see the red icon next to the word ‘Account’, you are on the latest version of the firmware. No further action is needed.

Troubleshooting
I can’t connect my pump to the app
If you’re unable to connect your Elvie Pump or Elvie Stride to the Pump with Elvie app, try the following steps. It’s important that you complete the steps in this order.
For Android:
Delete the Pump with Elvie app from your phone.
Open your phone settings.
Open Bluetooth and make sure it is turned on.
You'll see a list of paired devices. Scroll the list and find your pump.
Tap the cog by the pump and select the option to ‘forget’ the device.
Restart your phone and reinstall the Pump with Elvie app.
Open the Pump with Elvie app and select 'Pump info' from the menu. At the bottom of the Pump info screen, tap 'Connect a new pump'. Follow the instructions to connect your pump.
For iPhone:
Delete the Pump with Elvie app from your phone.
Open your phone settings.
Open Bluetooth and make sure it is turned on.
You'll see a list of paired devices. Scroll the list and find your pump.
Tap on the ‘i’ by the device name and click ‘Forget this device’.
Restart your phone and reinstall the Pump with Elvie app.
Open the Pump with Elvie app and select 'Pump info' from the menu. At the bottom of the Pump info screen tap 'Connect a new pump'. Follow the instructions to connect your pump.

I can't find the Pump with Elvie app on iPad
If your iPad is an iPad 3 or newer running iPadOS14, then it is compatible with your Elvie Pump or Elvie Stride. Make sure you select ‘iPad only’ from the drop down menu in the top-left of the screen when searching for the Pump with Elvie app in the App Store.

Yes, the Pump with Elvie app is completely free to download and use.
Why do I need the Pump with Elvie app?
The Pump with Elvie app has been designed to be used with Elvie Pump and Elvie Stride. While it’s possible to use these products without the app, using it will help you get the most out of your breast pump while ensuring you’re always notified of the latest features and updates.
Using the app also unlocks advanced features, allowing you to control your pump remotely, monitor your milk production in real time, and personalise your intensity settings.
What does the Pump with Elvie app do?

You’ll also be notified in the app whenever a free firmware upgrade is available for your Elvie product. Firmware upgrades keep your pump running smoothly, and also include new product features and improvements.
Is my device compatible with the Pump with Elvie app?
The Pump with Elvie app is compatible with most smartphones or tablets that support Bluetooth Low Energy (unfortunately the app does not work with Huawei devices).
If you have an iPhone, it must be an iPhone 6 or newer and you’ll also need to have iOS 11 or above. If you have an Android phone, you’ll need to have version 8 or later.
If your phone is not compatible, you can still use your pump without the app by using the controls on the Hub.
Do I need an account to use the app?
Creating an account allows you to use the app with Elvie Pump or Elvie Stride to control connected pumps and keep track of your pumping sessions.
With an account, you can also use your Elvie product across more than one phone or tablet and regain your pumping data if you lose or update your device. Just be sure to log out of your account to ensure your data is kept private if other people have access to your devices.
Which products do I need the Pump with Elvie app for?
The Pump with Elvie app can be used with Elvie Pump and Elvie Stride. Using the app with these products helps you get the most from your pump, enabling you to access additional smart features such as remote control, live milk monitoring, personalised intensity settings, and step-by-step pumping guides.
With the Pump with Evie app, you’ll also be notified whenever a free firmware upgrade is available for your Elvie product.
It’s possible to use Elvie Pump or Elvie Stride without the app, but this means missing out on some important features. We recommend using the app whenever possible.
How do I check if I have the latest version of the app?
Many smartphones automatically apply app updates in the background as soon as they’re available. However, to check whether you have the latest version of the Pump with Elvie app - or to upgrade your app to the latest version manually - simply follow these steps:
For Android:
Open the Google Play Store.
Tap your profile icon in the top-right of the screen.
Select ‘Manage apps and device’. Apps with an update available are labelled ‘Update available’.
If you see the Pump with Elvie app listed here, tap ‘Update’ to update the app manually.
For iPhone:
Open the App Store.
Tap your profile icon in the top-right of the screen.
Scroll to see pending or upcoming updates. If you see the Pump with Elvie app listed here, tap ‘Update’ to update the app manually.
Is my data stored securely in the app?
When you use Elvie products, data about your session is sent to your phone. Any data that is then sent to our servers is sent encrypted (using TLS) and stored on our servers on encrypted disks. To ensure that data remains anonymous, we separate it from any personally identifiable data, such as your name and email address, and store it on different servers.
We use anonymised data so we can see trends and meet the needs of our users by constantly updating and improving their Elvie experience. Creating an account and sending the data to the servers means that if you lose or upgrade your phone or tablet, you can take your history with you. It also lets you use our products with more than one phone or tablet.
Your pumping data is always stored securely and anonymously; but if at any point you would like us to remove it from our servers, simply contact our Customer Care Team.
